January 27/28, 2016 Wednesday/Thursday

Here is what we did today:

Choice Time:  We only had 2 choices - play dough with scissors and big rocks, and flip boards with bean bags.

Circle Time:  We read the book, "I Love You So Much!"  This was a story of a chipmunk who had some special words to say but nobody to say them to.  She kept them inside of her with puffed out cheeks until finally at the end of the day, she had to say them to her parents.  "I Love You So Much!"
were the words she said.  On Wednesday, Paxton and on Thursday, Kolsyn helped us count 14 bananas.

Snack Time:  On Wednesday, Paxton brought strawberries and milk for snack.  Thank you Paxton! On Thursday, Kolsyn brought us pretzels and apple juice.  Thank you Kolsyn!

Center Time:  All of the centers were open.  There was a special painting project for Valentine's Day at the easel.  These will not be going home but will be used on their Valentine's Day mailboxes.

Enjoy the sunshine!  Pictures are below:

Circle Time:  We read the book, "Silly Sally."  It is a book about a girl named Sally who went to town and all of the silly things that happened to her along the way.  It was a flannel board story.  On Monday, Owen and on Tuesday, Kai helped us to count 12 wheels into the counting jar.

Snack Time:  On Monday, Owen brought us Cheese Puffs and Chocolate milk.  Thank you Owen! On Tuesday, Kai brought apples, blueberries and chocolate milk.  Thank you Kai!

January 22, 2016 Friday

Here is what we did today:

A mystery activity was on the floor when the children came to school today.  We asked the children what it could be:  a jumping thing, a running thing, a campfire, a pond were some of the answers.

Choice Time:  The 3 choices for the children were cutting string with scissors, stacking figures, and the mystery activity which was similar to musical chairs in that the children could move around the circle to music and when it stopped they were to stand and identify the number they were standing on.

Circle Time:  We read the story, "The Wheels on The Bus."  It was a book with sound buttons and everyone got a chance to push a button when we were done reading it.  Mia helped us count 13 cars.

Snack Time:  Mia brought granola bars and milk for snack today.

Center Time:  All of the centers were open today.

Pictures are below:  have a great weekend!
