Here is what we did today:
Choice Time: On Wednesday, the two choices for the children were using a brush with shaving cream at the table and playing with the marble run. On Thursday, we went out to the play yard. The landscaping project was completed so we were all impressed with that!
Circle Time: We read the book, "Mrs. Wishy Washy Down On The Farm." In the book, the animals ran away from Mrs. Wishy Washy's farm and ended up in the animal jail. She rescued them all and brought them back to her farm. They all decided the farm was their home and it was the best place to live. On Wednesday, Kennedy helped us count 8 pink presents on a card. On Thursday, Jackson Tracy helped us do the counting.
Snack Time: On Wednesday, Kennedy brought grapes and milk for snack. Thank you Kennedy! On Thursday, Jackson Tracy brought muffins and strawberry milk. Thank you Jackson Tracy!
Center Time: We did a painting project for the upcoming Art Show today with the help of Hollie's mom (Wednesday) and Mason's mom(Thursday). They turned out beautiful - you will love them! All of the other centers were open.
Pizza certificates were handed out to the children for completing their reading calendars. Thanks for your support with that!

March 28/29, 2016 Monday and Tuesday
Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!
Here is what we did today:
Choice Time: On Monday, we offered 2 choices today - flying airplanes or flying tissue paper streamers using a fan. On Tuesday, we were able to go outside. Because of the landscaping construction going on, we had to find a different path to the play yard.
Circle Time: We read the book, "The Secret Life of Squirrels." This was a book that had photographs of a squirrel named Mr. Peanuts and his cousin. There were pictures of them mailing a letter, cleaning their house, camping and eating a nut cake among other things. The illustrator and author actually trained real squirrels to go to her different settings on her patio using peanuts. The book came from the library - and I would highly recommend giving it a look sometime! On Monday Holly helped us count 9 flowers on the card. Isla helped us count the flowers.
Snack Time: On Monday, Holly brought Bunny Grahams and Apple Juice. Thank you Holly! On Tuesday, Isla brought chocolate milk and applesauce. Thank you Isla!
All of the centers were open today.

Happy Spring?!?
Thank you to everyone who made our Spring party a success! The snack as well as the candy for the Easter Egg Hunt was provided by Mason's family, Kai's family, and Jackson Tracy's family - a special note of appreciation goes out to them!
Due to the inclement weather today, all of the games as well as the Easter Egg Hunt were held inside. It made for a little more chaos than normal but I'm not sure anyone noticed! :) The pre-Hunt activities included pop-and-drops, pom pom shooters, hopping on a "Bunny Trail," and building sculptures with styrofoam noodles. The Easter Egg Hunt involved finding 4 different colored eggs which were hidden in the Center Room. The children seemed to enjoy it all!
Thanks again for all of your support for this special day at Redeemer Preschool! We couldn't have done it without you!
Happy Easter! Happy Spring!

March 21/22, 2016 Monday/Tuesday
Welcome back to preschool! I hope everyone enjoyed the break!
Here is what we did today:
Choice Time: We played with the parachute today. We put nerf balls on the parachute and worked together to bounce them as high as the ceiling! There were 11 balls and at one time or another during the activity they all hit the ceiling!
Circle Time: We read the story, "Like A Windy Day!" It was a story about the wind and all the different things it blew around the town one day. On Monday, Ellie and Tuesday, Huey helped us count 4 Lions on the card in the mystery bag. Then we sang some songs from the song box.
Snack Time: On Monday, Ellie brought goldfish and apple juice. Thank you Ellie! On Tuesday, Huey brought granola bars and apple juice. Thank you Huey!
Center Time: One of the art activities available to the children involved using the wind from a hairdryer to blow water color paint on a sheet of paper. We will display these in the hall starting next week. They turned out great - so hope you can get a chance to see them! All of the other centers were open.
Have a great day! Pictures are below.
