Here is what we did today:
Choice Time: We played with cars and tracks, catch-a-ball-cones, and magnadoodles.
Circle Time: We read 2 stories - "Guess Who's Fast" and "A Porcupine Named Fluffy."
On Wednesday, Taylor helped us count 18 buttons on the card in the mystery bag. On Thursday, Topher helped us do the counting.
Snack Time: On Wednesday, Taylor brought goldfish and apple juice for snack. Thank you Taylor! On Thursday, Topher brought muffins and strawberry milk. Thank you Topher!
Center Time: All of the centers were open and there was painting available at the easel.

April 26, 2016 Tuesday
Here is what we did today:
Choice Time: We went outside for Choice Time.
Circle Time: We read the story, "Chicka, Chicka, Boom, Boom." After we read the story, we found all of the letters on the coconut tree bulletin board on display in the front of the room. Mason helped us count the 17 kites on the card from the mystery bag.
Snack Time: Mason brought watermelon, Scooby Snacks and juice for snack. Thank you Mason!
Center Time: All of the centers were open and there was painting at the easel.

April 25, 2016 Monday
A visit from the Bettendorf Fire Department.
Choice Time: The Firemen talked to us about fire safety. They also showed us some of the equipment they use such as their fire suit, their ax, their special camera to find people in smoky conditions and best of all - their fire truck!
Circle time: Scarlett helped us count 17 kites on the card. She also led us in a few songs from the song box.
Snack Time: Scarlett brought Veggie Straws and Strawberry Milk. Thank you Scarlett!
Center Time: We played at all of the centers and then rang the bell a little earlier than usual in order to have time to play outside in the beautiful weather.

April 20/21, 2016 Wednesday/Thursday
Here is what we did today:
Choice Time: We practiced fire safety drills today such as "Stop, Drop, and Roll" and how to follow the teachers' directions when there is a fire in the building. (line up under the exit sign, follow the teacher in a line outside the building to our safe spot in the parking lot, and wait quietly to be counted to make sure no one is missing.)
Circle Time: We read the story, "Firefighter." It told about the different duties and tasks a fireman does for his job. On Wednesday, Sahasra helped us count 16 strawberries on the card in the mystery bag.On Thursday, Kyla helped us do the counting.
Snack Time: On Wednesday, Sahasra brought Cheerios and apple juice. Thank you Sahasra! On Thursday, Kyla brought goldfish crackers and grape juice. Thank you Kyla!

April 18/19, 2016
Here is what we did today:
Choice Time: We went outside on Monday. It was beautiful! On Tuesday, the rain kept us inside and we did streamers with a fan, paper airplanes and some unique flyers made from paper strips and straws taped together.
Circle Time: We read the story, "Hiccopotomus." It was a book on tape about a hippopotomus with a case of the hiccups. On Monday, Paxton helped us count 15 fish on the card that came out of the mystery bag. On Tuesday, Kolsyn helped us do the counting.

April 13/14, 2016 Wednesday/Thursday
Here is what we did today:
Choice Time: We went outside to play today!
Circle Time: We read the book, "Job Site." In this book, all sorts of construction equipment was used to build a park complete with a fountain and a look-out tower. We counted 14 beach balls that were on the card in the "mystery" bag.
Snack Time: The preschool provided the snack today because it was "Birthday/Cooking Day." The children got to practice spooning out their own snack from a big bowl that was then passed to their table neighbor. Everyone got 2 scoops of Lucky Charms. On Wednesday, we celebrated the birthdays of Angel, Ellie, and Owen and gave everyone a birthday brownie. On Thursday, we celebrated the birthdays of Isla, Jocelyn, and Brogan.
