October 12, 2015 Monday
Here is what we did today:
Choice Time: We went outside for Choice Time. Several of the children found some fall leaves on the ground. We looked at the leaves they found very closely and talked about the colors and the different parts, etc.
Circle Time: We passed around a pan with different colored leaves in it for all of the children to see. We read the story, "Leaves, Leaves, Leaves." At the end the following questions were asked: When do leaves change color? What colors are fall leaves? Do any leaves stay green in the fall? What helps the leaves fall from the trees? What fun things can you do with fall leaves?
Snack Time: We popped popcorn in an old fashioned popper for snack today. Everyone got a chance to see the corn popping up close. We also served pretzels and juice for snack. On Monday, there were no birthdays to celebrate.
Center Time: We had the children glue some fall shapes on our mural for the hallway. Looks great! All of the other centers were open.
On Monday, Hollie's mother, Cheryl was our parent volunteer. Thank you Cheryl!
Have a great Fall day!
