Here is what we did today:
A mystery activity was on the floor when the children came into school at the beginning of the day. Several of them tried to guess what it was: train, race track, cake, bouncing mats, rocks in the water, cupcakes......
Choice Time: The mystery activity was revealed - it was a game similar to musical chairs which had the children land on a number and identify it when the music stopped. The other choices were cutting string with scissors and stacking shapes.
Circle Time: We read a "noisy" book entitled "The Wheels on the Bus." Afterwards, each child was able to push one of the noisy buttons to make a sound. Jocelyn helped us count 12 spools of thread.
Snack Time: Jocelyn brought snack - goldfish, cheese, and apple juice. Thank you Jocelyn!
Center Time: All of the centers were open.
