January 4/5, 2016 Monday/Tuesday

Welcome Back to Preschool!  It was good to be back at school again!  I hope everyone had a great break!

Here is what we did today:

The Holiday items in the Discovery  Tub were replaced with snow related things for the children to look at when they first came to school.

Choice Time:  The 3 choices were cutting with scissors, drawing on magnadoodles, and a game called Garbage.

Circle Time:  We read the story, "I Went Walking."  It was a simple book with rhythmic, repeating phrases and beautiful pictures.  We read it through twice and many of the children were trying to read along with me the second time through.  After reading the story, we did some counting. Rings were in the bag to count today and there were 11 of them.

Snack Time:  On Monday, Hollie brought Star Wars cereal and apple juice.  Thank you Hollie!  On Tuesday, Isla brought pears, graham crackers and juice and chocolate milk.  Thank you Isla!

Center Time:  There was painting at the easel and all of the centers were open.
